1. Our Commitment to Your Spiritual Privacy
At ManarahLab, we believe that spiritual learning and divine remembrance (Dhikr) are deeply sacred and personal. Zikr Screen (also known as Dhikr Screen) is engineered with a strict privacy-first architecture. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
2. Personal & Spiritual Data Remains 100% On-Device
All your spiritual learning activities and personal preferences remain strictly stored on your physical device in encrypted local databases (SQLite / Hive):
- Dhikr & Recitation Counts: All counter records, digital tasbih milestones, and daily goals are recorded only on your phone.
- Memorization & Spaced Repetition Progress: Your SuperMemo SM-2 flashcard schedules, ease factors, intervals, and review history never leave your device.
- Bookmarks & Collections: Custom collections, saved verses, and favorites remain entirely local.
- No User Accounts Required: You are never asked to register, sign in with an email, or provide your phone number.
3. Diagnostics, Stability & Aggregated Analytics (Google Firebase)
To ensure the application runs smoothly across thousands of diverse Android devices and screen resolutions, we utilize trusted diagnostic tools provided by Google Firebase (Google LLC):
Firebase Crashlytics (Crash Reporting)
If the application experiences an unexpected crash or freeze, Crashlytics securely transmits non-personally identifiable diagnostic stack traces, device model (e.g. Samsung Galaxy S23), operating system version, and system state at the moment of the crash. This enables our development team to identify and resolve software bugs quickly.
Firebase Analytics & Performance Monitoring
We collect high-level, aggregated metrics (such as app installation frequency, general screen views, and widget rendering performance). These statistics are anonymous and are used exclusively to optimize user experience and app responsiveness.

4. Zero Third-Party Advertising
Zikr Screen (Dhikr Screen) contains ZERO commercial advertisements. We do not integrate ad networks (such as Google AdMob, Unity Ads, or Meta Audience Network) and we do not collect or transmit your Advertising ID (GAID) for behavioral profiling or advertising tracking.
5. Device Permissions Explained
The application requests only the minimal Android permissions necessary to function:
- SET_WALLPAPER & Foreground Service: Used solely to run the battery-efficient native OpenGL live wallpaper engine.
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED & WAKE_LOCK: Allows the widget alarm service to recalculate rotation intervals upon device reboot without keeping the CPU awake unnecessarily.
- Approximate Location (Optional): If enabled by you, location coordinates are processed strictly on-device to calculate astronomical prayer and sunrise/sunset times. Your geographic position is never uploaded or tracked.
6. Data Retention & Your Controls
Because your recitation progress and preferences are stored exclusively on your device, you have complete sovereignty over your data:
- You can export or reset your learning progress at any time directly within the Profile screen.
- Clearing the app's cache or storage via your Android settings, or uninstalling the app, will permanently remove all local data from your device.
7. Children's Privacy
Our service is intended for Muslims and learners of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
